2 years later.........

Well helllloooo there!
I don't know if anyone still checks this blog, and if you do you must be super bored having had nothing to read for the past 25 months.
Anyway, I was happily posting up here when one day, blogger STOPPED WORKING. It just refused to let me log in. I tried for a few months and finally gave up and started a new blog. It used to be a public blog but because of a few minor dramas, I had to make it private.
Anyway, if you would like to read it, the link is http://patsymarella.wordpress.com/.
As I said, it is set to private, but I can add you as a user if you would like. Go to wordpress and choose a username, then email it to me at moetricia@yahoo.com.
Thanks for thinking of me and hope to write for you again soon!
Love, Trish

Spraynard Kruger

Last night Kane threw me an awesome surprise party for my 28th!! I was completely surprised too, it was awesome. I came home from work thinking I was going to meet Lisa for dinner, and when we walked into the apartment, guess what was there? Balloons! Streamers! 20 of my closest friends! Presents! Cake! Beer! Awesome!
I did get pretty drunk, but remarkably I didn't throw up. I thought for sure I was gonna though. Tequila shots and I don't usually mix. I'll upload some pictures soon, but in the meantime here's a clip from Tim and Eric's Awesome show that I love. Happy Birthday Spray!

It's almost my birthday!!! YaY!!!
To celebrate, Kane and I are going up to Prescott today (I almost forgot it's already Tuesday!) with Brianna and Robert to see a Weird Al concert. I can't think of a better way to spend my last night as a 27 year old!

Sooooo, pink blog? Yay or Nay?

As Steve Brule would say,"Fashion Victim or Fashion Slave---you make the CAll.".

I know I've been tagged by Lisa, so before I finally get to that (sorry!), I just wanted to tell you about the dream I had last night. I dreamed that I was here with the original settlers to colonize the New World, and I picked the land and drew New Jersey on the map. I was going to settle and establish New Jersey, and my first order of business was to build an Old Navy store. Then Kate from "Lost" showed up, and she wanted to settle Pennsylvania, but she wanted all the Old Navies, so we had to draw up a declaration giving New Jersey permission to have an Old Navy store. We shook on it and everything. So basically, it's because of me that New Jersey exists, and that you are able to find fashionable clothes at reasonable prices at Old Navy. THE END.

So anyway, on to the tagging.
*8 weird things about myself*

---Almost every song I listen to I try to think up a movie scene it would probably be in. For example, just about every song on the radio right now has a little scene along the lines of-there's an angsty kid, and everyone thinks they know him, but there's a whole other side to him, and he's gonna rise up against the popular kids and blah blah blah, etc.
Either that, or there's another scenario where a girl moves to "the big city" by herself, and there'd be some lame montage of her being all "fish out of water" but by the end of the song, she's ridin' the subway and on a first-name basis with the guy at the deli. Shit like that.

---My biggest fear when driving on the freeway is that a rock is gonna get kicked up somehow and fly through my driver's side window and hit me in the ear. Or hit me in the neck and break my neck like a goose. So I always need the windows firmly closed on the freeway.

---Me and my cat Fizz have a freckle on the exact same spot on our noses.

---I eat at least 1 pixie stix every day.

---I drive around with my grandfather's "Lake George" baseball cap in the trunk of my car at all times. He had it in the window of his car until he died, and it makes me feel safe having it in there.

---If it wasn't for the fact that I would have to handle or possibly eat seafood of any type, I would be in cooking school right now training to be a chef.

---As a child I fell on a dead body while it was being embalmed in a funeral home. I can't remember if I already wrote about that yet or not, but it was very scarring.

---I need to have all drawers and cabinets in my apartment closed at all times. It bothers me if I know that a cabinet is open somewhere and I keep thinking about it until I get up and close it. I also prefer for all closet doors to be closed always too, but this doesn't bother me as much.

Okay, there's my 8 things. I would tag 8 people but no one updates their blogs anymore.
And since Lisa already tagged Matt, I'm tagging my Weird Al loveing friend, Robert. Go!

And the Goings On gets Goin' On...

Here's what's happening now in the life of me.

-My last day of work at Scottsdale Bead is this Friday. It's sad to say goodbye, but I got an offer I could not turn down. I'll be working in the office of the apartment complex that Kane and I are moving to, so aside from many other great resons to work for them, I also get a nice rent discount and I have no commute to work! So awesome!! Plus I no longer have to see the woman who has put constant effort into making me miserable and picking on me for almost two years. Biggest plus of all!
I can't wait to start, everyone there seems so nice. I really will miss my current bosses though, they really were there for me through a lot of rough times.

-I made jewelry for Naynayfazz's bridesmaids! I didn't want to put up any pictures till she got them, but here they are! I'm so glad you like them Miss NayNay!!

-Kane and I have been debating which would be worse: Having Corey Haim mouth or having Corey Feldman mouth?

Feel free to vote in the comments. I say Haim mouth would be the worst, since you could never close it and it looks swollen all the time.
However, Feldman mouth is all tight and there's not much lip there. You'd probably have to use your index finger to push food in there.
There's also the topic of what would happen in the even that you have to vomit. Would it slowly just kind of drip out quietly(Haim) or would it be forced out in a spray, like when you put your finger over the spout on the faucet(Feldman)?
I don't know, it's a tough question.

-I was shocked at the finale of I Love New York. She actually picked Tango the Ninja Turtle over Chance? Don't get me wrong, I didn't like either of them, I don't even like her, but Chance was clearly the better match. They were so much alike. Tango is a big boring idiot. My opinion.

-I made yummy chocolate and buttercream cupcakes and brought them over to Lisa and Greg's for Easter.

I think they came out rather pretty, but I am especially proud of the box I made to carry them over in!

Anyway, it's bed tyme. I'll write again soon I swear it.

I was trying to describe this scene from "Extras" to Lisa, but maybe seeing it is the best way. "I've seen everything."

Wednesday, March 28, 2007

I've been tagged! Yay! I haven't had anything to write about so here we go!
Report on 7 Songs I am Into Right Now: (in no particular order)

1. The Golden Years by David Bowie
This is one that probably drives Kane crazy, but it's on so many of my playlists lately. I like to listen to it and think about all the stupid, fun stuff I did in high school and college, my "Golden Years" if you will. Plus David Bowie is King in my universe.
2. I Never Loved A Man by The Commitments
I recently downloaded the Commitments soundtrack, which takes me straight back to the summer of 1993, when Lisa and I had that soundtrack on constant rotation. We went camping that summer and spent hours one night in Massachusetts swinging on the swings and singing "Destination Anywhere". I would have put that song on this list, but I picked the one I went with because it was sung by may favorite "Commitment-ette" Natalie, and I always wished I could sing like her. She rocks.
3. Slowly by Ann-Margret
They played this one on the Kate episode of "Lost", and I had to download it right away. I love the way the whole song sounds, I can tell why guys used to think Ann-Margret was a babe now. Before I was like, "You mean that old slit from Newsies??".
4. Home by Depeche Mode
Just a nice, long, beautiful song to listen to and zone out. I like letting my mind wander to this one.
5. Prayer to Saint Francis by Sarah Maclaclaclaclaclaclan
A good song about forgiveness and acceptance, of letting go. Some recurring themes in my life.
6. Goonies by Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi is so cool. I just have to smile and sing along with this song. I love to blast this one in the car. Goonies ARE good enough!!!Plus, does ANYBODY sing like she can? Her voice is just crazy.
7. Everybody Knows by Concrete Blonde
I actually like this version better than Leonard Cohen's. Concrete Blonde has been one of my favorite bands forever. Also, yet another song from a movie soundtrack. "Pump Up The Volume". Oh, Christian Slater, where did it all go wrong?

I just realized, not ONE of my songs are current. I just don't like what music is nowadays. Nothing grabs me, it all sounds the same. I like music with character.
Now it's my turn to tag someone! Kane, Robert, Diana, Matt, Lani, Erin, tag---you're it!

Before you go though, look at this cat. Look at it! Someone stuffed it into a sock! I think it's a sock. Maybe a bootie. Look at him! Lookatem!!!! Awwwww.

Here's me at age 8, playing my favorite childhood game, Lil' Shoplifter. You can read all about it on Lisa's blog!
Now gimme all your money or I'll slit your throat! Weeeeee!

Welcome to the Hotel Cal-I-Fornia!

Actually we didn't stay at the Hotel California, we stayed at Robert's friend Laurie's house! And I must say it was beautiful. We went to Cali from the 9th to the 12th, and I really did not want to come back to AZ. It was so good to see green landscape and actual trees again! We went to LA, went to a Dead Man's Party show, and spent an afternoon in Newport Beach. All in all it was a very relaxing vacation, and good to finally see big bad L.A. that I always hear so much about. Well, the verdict is, it ain't so bad. It was much smaller than I pictured it, and I think it's more ghetto in West Phoenix than anywhere there.
So anyway, here's some pictures from the trip!

Here's me and Kane, on Laurie's back patio very early in the morning. We both look tired, but check out Laurie's view! Schweet!

One of the many rooms in Laurie's house. I want her to decorate my place someday!!

Me and Brianna made many friends during our short stay in Newport Beach.

My one and only picture of the Hollywood sign. This was taken from Brianna's car while speeding through downtown LA. It was actually hard to find a place to take a picture of the sign, but I kind of felt like I needed one anyway.

This is PJ. She was a very sweet and entertaining hostess.

Please ignore the bad picture of the power lines, but this is Sierra Madre, where I totally want to move to! Tree lined streets and mountain views and a cute little area that looks like Red Bank, NJ. It felt like home somehow. The clouds are kind of covering the mountain, but it looked really cool.

Here I am with Robert, Brianna and Laurie, laughing about how the bobcat that lives in Laurie's back yard had just dragged off a baby. Well, people shouldn't just leave those things laying around!
Well, enough pictures. I have to finish stringing a necklace for work now, even though it is late and I should be in bed. Oh well.
OH! Our movie, No. 12 is on the On The Lot website!!! For those of you who haven't heard of it, On The Lot is a reality show/competition for young filmmakers. I think it airs in the spring, and they're going to start selecting contestants soon. If you have time, please log on and put up some comments! (Preferrably good ones!!) Thanks bitches!

There hasn't been much going on with me lately, hence my no posting, but I figured I'd bore you all with the details of what I am up to.
I put my Brak necklace up for sale on eBay, since it has seen no action on etsy.com. I am hoping it will not only generate interest in the necklace itself, but also in the other stuff I am trying to sell. I need money! Plus, I have so much cool jewelry around here that I make and then shove into a drawer somewhere. It deserves to be worn, damn it.
Also speaking of money, I finally sat down and calculated all of my debt a few weeks ago, and have been slowly recovering from my mild heart attack. It's not too bad, but it's still more than I should ever have. Debt has been heavy on my mind lately, since I am determined to one day get a handle on all of these bills and be in control of my money, not the other way around. So far I've made really good progress, so I am hoping I can keep it up and one day have no trouble getting a mortgage for a real, actual house of my very own. I'll get there.
Aside from that I have been cleaning up. Since Kane and I moved in to this condo, the mini-blinds in our bedroom have been coated with dust and some weird sludge-y type crap. It's gross, I tried to clean them once but quickly gave up when the cleaner was mixing with the dust-cakes and turning it into mud and smearing worse than before. So tonight I filled a big bucket with soapy water and cleaned the shit out of those blinds, and to my surprise they are actually white. Yay! Now I don't have to keep the curtains drawn in shame all the time! (See, I told you I would bore you.)
On Friday after work Kane and I are leaving to go to L.A. with Brianna and Robert for the weekend. I am excited to go and finally see it all for myself, and see if I could live there. But I am also scared, because I feel a lot of pressure to like it. Not from Kane or anybody, but from myself. But really I just want out of Arizona and a brand new start somewhere new, but I am trying to stay open to California and ignore all the negative crap I keep hearing. We'll see.
One last thing I did was I watched the Puppy Bowl yesterday. With a vacant yet exuberant smile on my face. Especially during the kitty halftime show. In case you missed it, you can see the highlights here.
See? Much more fun than football, and much cuter than watching Prince sashay his tiny ass across the stage in the rain!

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Most of you prbably already saw this on cuteoverload.com, but I just can't get over how cute this is! This cat is amazing.

Although, if you owner strapped scuba gear on you and threw you in the water, you'd have no choice but to just hang out down there too. Also, none of you should have "owners". Slavery was abolished in 1865.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful 2007 so far. Enjoy it while it lasts, because I heard today that a meteor is gonna hit Earth in 2029 and kill us all.
On that note, here's my current favorite clip from The Brak Show:

AND.......

Coming soon to my website, The Brak Necklace!!!! Yay!
I drew Brak myself on shrinky dink paper, then colored him and baked him till he shrank, then made a necklace out of him! You can't tell from the picture, but the dark stones are actually navy blue with glittery specks, called blue goldstone. Very pretty and inter-galacticy, just like Braky Wacky!

CLOSEUP---->

What do you think? I plan on making a few more of these, although probably not with the same beads, since goldstone like this is hard to find. I also really hope this wouldn't be some kind of a copyright violation, because that would suck. Far be it from me to actually research that stuff.
Anyway, when that killer meteor hits, I know I wanna be wearing a super-awesome Brak necklace. I don't know about you.

I know, it hasn't been a month yet, but something very sweet happened to me today and I had to share it.
I mentioned yesterday that I've been really sick for the past week, and I had to miss a lot of work. There's a lot of regular customers, people who I've gotten to know very well, and there's one lady in particular who is just awesome. Her name is Maic, and she's a little old lady with a very heavy french accent, she's in her late 70's and she moves and talks at 100 miles an hour. She just learned how to make jewelry this year, and she's extremely enthusastic about it, but in a cute way. She always likes me to help her with her stuff, and exclaims to all my ideas,"OH TREEESH!! You are Zo Wonderfulllll!!". I even went to her house a couple of times to teach ehr some jewelry stuff, which I wouldn't do for any other customer. I totally love her.
Anyway, today was my first day back at work, and when I got there this morning, I found a little package lying on the counter.

And guess what was inside?? THIS!!!!----->

Sure it's two sizes too small, and I have to use my hands to hold it on my head, but isn't that the sweetest thing for her to do?! I know it's cheesy but I was so touched by it. It's like I have my own sweet little french grandma. I called her today to thank her, and she told me she'll be in tomorrow, and "Treeesh, you better be wearing zeee hat when I get zere!!! You must keep zee head warm. Ozzerwise you get seeecker!". It's pretty cool of her to care about me like that. Although now I gotta wear it, but still.....
Thank you, Maic. You are one of the most interesting and funny people I know.

You know, I think I should post some pictures of what's been happening in the past month. It's been a while since I posted a ton of pictures. Here goes!

Here's my sister, kind of drunk at her wedding reception, with a strip of bacon on her arm! Sweet!

My Diddy-daddums was here for the wedding, and we celebrated his birthday while he was here. I made him a big batch of birthday cupcakes!!!! MMMM!

Here we all are partying at Kristen and Ezzy's hotel room. There was a lot of drink involved here, but the night had to quiet down thanks to someone banging on the floor from below us. Ezzy said it was a super tall guy from Kenya, who was just lifting himself up on tippy-toes and knocking on the cieling with the top of his head. I think he was right!

I cooked my first turkey this thanksgiving! It's tradition for my family to take a picture of the holiday meal, but I forgot until after I had cut into that bitch. But here's my best attempt at my grandmother's "Well, here it is, the labor of my love. Now just go ahead and wolf it down and forget that I spent all day in the kitchen slaving away for this, but Happy Thanksgiving anyway" face.

And lastly, here's Piggy, playing Orange Juice Peekaboo on thanksgiving morning. He really looked amazed that I was on both sides of the carton!! Wow!!
Okay, that's it for now. Have a great night everybody, and just remember, even though you may not believe it, you probably mean a lot to someone that you don't even realize. Try not to be so much of a whore all the time.
Best of luck with that!

Wednesday, December 06, 2006

Well hello everyone!
I guess it's time for my monthly visitor....as in the blog, not the ewwwww. I'm sorry I never write. Maybe some of you check the page, and if so, thank you. I am still alive, although not by much at the moment. Why? Because I went and caught a bacterial infection in my throat (strep throat! YESS!) and my inner ear. I totally blame the fact that we haven't had heat for an entire week. This is also the week when Arizona decides to pose as a normal state and have actual cold weather in December for a change. Hmmmm, what better time for the gods to pull out the Trish voodoo doll and have at it! OK, I'm sorry for the self pity crap, but I am just so sick of stuff on top of stuff on top of other stuff going wrong. When's the good karma coming in that will make all of this crap worthwhile? I hope soon. I really want to win the lottery or something. You listening, karma??

Anyway, enough of all that noise. Christmas is coming!!!! YAY!!! I love me some christmas, and I've decided to take a relaxed, let's-just-drink-a-whole-bottle-of-wine-and-let-someone-else-worry-about-it approach to the holiday this year. Not that there will be much to worry about. But the bumps in the road that always end up there in spite of our best efforts, I will do my best to say fuck it, at least I don't have strep throat anymore!! I also have my christmas shopping done. That's right-DONE. I finished last night on the inter-web. Acutally I do still have to buy and mail something to my dad, but since I already know what that's gonna be, I am considering it DONE. Now I can sink into the old couch and enjoy the hell out of 25 Days Of Christmas. Which, by the way, I caught a REMARKABLY bad movie starring Kathy Ireland called "Once Upon A Christmas" last night. And tonight there's a sequel to it, the aptly-titled "TWICE Upon A Christmas". I hope they make it a trilogy, and the third one will be called "Thrice Upon a Christmas", because it would be nice to see the word thrice used somehow.
Sounds like a treat for awkward looking upper-class white couples everywhere.

Doesn't Kathy Ireland have the worst jaw ever? It's like a linebacker's jaw. She's very mannish, much like Lance Bass.

I've been busy lately, so here's what's a-happening...
-The bead store where I work just had it's grand opening last night and it was a huge success. I legitimately had a great time there too, so that was cool not to have to keep a phony smile on my face all night. I love my job! Sorry to brag, but I am so happy to work at such a nice place. I am also happy to use the word legitimate in this blog. Amy, wherever you are, that one was for you.
-In upsetting news, Kane got mugged on Friday night. He was leaving a bar with his friend when it happened. Luckily though he got through it unharmed, and my baby came home to me in one piece at around 3am. He was so upset and so angry, so after he cancelled his credit cards and everything, I made him some frozen pizza and we watched South Park to try and take his mind off of what had happened. I've never been so relieved and happy to hear Kane laugh.
-Only one more week until Lisa and Greg's wedding!!! It's going to be so cool/surreal seeing my big sister walking down the aisle. I can't believe it's here already, it seemed like it was so far off. Now if we can just get them to tie the knot before Greg finds out she's a Mentally Retarded Female.....

Mr. F!
-I went to Ikea today and got two really nice new lamps, some new glasses to replace all of the ones that have chips in the rims yet we still drink from, a pretty new poster and a really good paring knife. All for only $40.
-And finally, tonight we saw Borat. Anyone who knows me knows how excited I was for this movie to come out, and I was not disappointed in the least. I was starting to worry that all the funny stuff was in the trailers, like they were giving too much away, but that is not the case at all. I actually started getting a headache from laughing too much. I can't wait to see it again, I think I'll take my dad while he's in town for the wedding.
Go see Borat. Now!

Thursday, October 26, 2006

I am having one of those days today. Those kind of sucky ones. It's been mainly just small stuff going wrong, and most of it will bore you, but I did manage to get knocked in the head pretty hard, and now have a huge lump on my temple. I was getting some stuff out of my storage closet, and a big heavy box fell down and whacked me on the side of the head. I actually saw stars. I sat on the couch for a long time with ice on my head, but I still have a big old welt that I am hoping won't turn into a bruise. This is the kind of stuff that always happens to me. I am what you might call "accident prone". If there's a sharp corner on the coffee table, I'll walk right into it, and I've managed to stub all of my toes in so many creative ways. And last week Kane had to bandage me up from when I was holding Fizzie and he heard something that scared him, so I got the hell scratched out of me. That one actually left me with two new scars right across my chest. Yay me!
Money also has got me down too. So many things are coming up and I want to be able to have money to spend, but already my paycheck I am getting tomorrow is already spent on just bills. Love it.
I know things will get better soon, but I just feel so drained right now in more ways than one. I think I just need a nice long vacation(preferably paid for by someone else).
On a happier note, I sold another necklace on etsy, which was such a nice, welcome surprise. Also, another lady is paying me to make 6 bracelets and 6 necklaces for her, so that will help too. It's a lot of work but if it pays off then it might lead to more work.
Kane and I saw The Prestige on Monday. I really liked it, especially David Bowie. That man is just so awesome.

As is my guy, Christian Bale, who I've stuck by since the days of Newsies, and I just keep being more and more proud of. If only some other childhood crushes had evolved so well.

Christian Slater, I'm talking to you.

If you're thinking about being Booger from Revenge Of The Nerds for Halloween, here's what you need.
Don't forget the unshaven face. It's kinda important.

Get ready for an image you can keep with you for the rest of your life. Ready?

Yay!!

Monday, October 09, 2006

Last night I had this really weird dream, and since I got nothing better to tell you about, here's what it was.
I dreamt that I had to have stomach surgery, and that Dane Cook was the surgeon. I was awake during the whole operation, and I couldn't feel anything, just a slight tugging of my insides, which I think is just as bad. Anyway, I don't know what the problem was, but it seemed that I had a bunch of cross pendants from my job stuck in my stomach lining. They're sterling silver, inlaid with mother of pearl and turquoise. They're actually really pretty. Anyhow, Dr. Dane Cook had to remove each one at a time, but instead of pulling the whole thing out all together, he had to remove all of the stones from the silver first, then the silver part. And the whole time he's operating on me, he's just talking and talking about why I should go see "Employee Of The Month". And I'm just thinking, No, I'm really not interested in that movie, I'm sorry. Please pay attention to the operation, you jackass. I said none of this of course, but just silently layed there, wanting the operation to be over.

Oh, Dane. It's not that I don't like you. I do. I really do. Your albums are so funny, and you were awesome when we saw you at the Improv. It's just......her, you know? Look at her eyes, her vacant expression. Even YOU don't look comfortable next to her. I mean, if they had cast any other actress, I might....Ok, now you're just getting upset. Let's not say anything we don't really mean! You know what? If you can just relax a little, maybe make one or two movies a year, but mainly stick to your comedy, I'll buy you a candy apple at the mall. What do you say, buddy? Deal?
Anyway back to the dream. Well, that was it, basically. Except when I woke up, my stomach really hurt. Ooooooooo. Tell that story around the campfire this Halloween.
